Statistical Mechanical Theory of Liquids and Liquid Solutions

Project Description:This project is for the study of model liquid solutions by analytical theory and computer simulations, applying the methods and principles of statistical mechanics. Particular problems of interest will be the calculation of molecular correlation functions and their integrals, and the associated thermodynamic functions including the osmotic virial coefficients.The student would work directly with the faculty member and a postdoctoral associate.
