New FTIR in the CCMR Bard Materials Facility

The CCMR Bard Materials Facility is continuing to support the Bruker Vertex V80V vacuum FTIR system, previously in the NBTC. The system has a spectral range of 500 to 6000 cm-1 and the evacuated optical bench significantly reduces atmospheric noise and provides a very stable measurement environment. The vacuum environment, combined with a low temperature MCT detector proves to be a very effective combination for measuring samples with low signal and samples with peaks lying in the water vapor regions. Additional accessories include: ATR, variable angle specular reflectance and heated flow cells. Please see the instrument page and contact Philip Carubia for further information.
