Semiconductors that go Ferroelectric

Project Description: In 2019, a new ferroelectric material, AlScN was discovered which is integrated with gallium nitride and aluminum nitride, the most important semiconductors after silicon. This project will explore the new physical effects of ferroelectricity on the electronic and photonic properties of semiconductors, and their applications in semiconductor devices such as transistors, light-emitting diodes, and lasers.
